Big First Descent in Hood River

Idaho kid Erik Boomer handed someone his camera before probing this splashy lil' rapid on Mosier Creek, near the boating mecca of Hood River. Dude came out to the NW in January with the intention of paddling every day this winter. Thus far he’s done pretty well on that plan & with this first d, he’s snatched a photo opp out from under the biggest name in high profile park ‘n huck, right in his own backyard. And speaking of “snatching”, Boomer’s yellow prototype Jefe was stolen minutes after this photo was taken .. head’s up.
